This is a working version. The wording is still being reviewed by a lawyer.
The information on this site does not replace a doctor
The materials on this site are written to help a person and their family understand what kinds of care exist and how they work. This is reference information, not a diagnosis, a prescription or a treatment plan.
Only a doctor, after an examination, can assess a specific person’s condition, identify contraindications and decide what care is needed. Even if a description on the site closely matches your situation, the decision is made by the doctor.
Self-medication may be harmful
Self-medication may be harmful to your health.
Don’t give the person medication, sleeping pills or alcohol “to ease things” without a doctor, and don’t set up IV drips yourself, even if someone in the family has medical training. Withdrawal syndrome can be dangerous, and combinations of substances are unpredictable.
We don’t name medications or publish treatment regimens on the site. This is a principle, not an oversight.
When to call 103 right away
If a person’s condition is life-threatening, call 103 or 112. The FAVOR clinic is not an emergency medical service.
- The person is unconscious or can’t be woken up.
- Breathing is slow, rattling or has long pauses.
- The pupils are very small; the lips or nails are bluish.
- Seizures have started.
- The person doesn’t recognize family members, or sees or hears things that aren’t there.
- Chest pain or pressure.
- The person talks about suicide or threatens to harm themselves.
Prices and service descriptions
Prices on the site are starting prices, listed as “from.” The doctor gives the final cost after an examination, before the procedure begins.
- Information about prices and services does not constitute a public offer.
- Next to the tables we show the date as of which prices are valid. The full list is on the Prices page.
- The content, length and format of care may differ from the description: the doctor determines them.
We do not promise results
Addiction is a disease that runs a different course in each person. No method comes with a guarantee, so we do not promise that a person will never use again.
- The doctor will explain what to expect in your particular case.
- There are no reviews of treatment results on the site: the law prohibits this kind of advertising of medical services.
Images on the site
Some images on the site are illustrations. They show what care might look like, but they are not photographs of the FAVOR clinic, its wards or its staff.
- The photos of doctors and counselors are real: the clinic provided them.
- Real photos of the premises will appear in the photo gallery after the shoot.
Accuracy and errors
Medical texts show the date of publication and of the last update. How we prepare, review and update texts is described in our editorial policy.
Medicine changes, and a text may go out of date before we update it. If you spot an error, let us know by phone, and we’ll check it and correct it.
Links to third-party sites (the MOH, the WHO and others) lead to resources whose content is the responsibility of their owners.
Talk to a doctor
The hotline is open 24/7. Tell us what’s going on, and we’ll tell you what kind of help is needed. You can call on behalf of a loved one.
