Document version
Version of 22.10.2026
This is a working version. The clinic owner is still confirming some of the wording.
Who we write for and why
The FAVOR website explains how care for alcohol, drug and gambling addiction works: what happens at home, in inpatient care and in rehabilitation, how much it costs and who provides it. Our reader is most often a relative searching for help on their phone at night, or the person themselves, for whom anonymity matters.
So we write briefly, in simple words and without scare tactics. Every page has to answer: what we do, how it works, how much it costs, who does it and how to get in touch.
Who writes and who reviews
Each service page names two people: the author, who is responsible for the content, and the medical reviewer, a different specialist who reads the text after the author. One person cannot be both the author and the reviewer of the same text.
- Nataliia Streltsova, psychiatrist and addiction specialist of the highest qualification category. Author and reviewer of the pages on alcohol withdrawal treatment, detox, inpatient care and coding; reviewer of the pages on rehabilitation.
- Viktoriia Koliadenko, addiction medicine physician of the highest qualification category. Author and reviewer of the pages on addiction doctor home visits, IV drips, detox and inpatient care.
- Lesia Koretska, psychotherapist and psychologist. Author of the pages on rehabilitation, the 28-Day Program and the support that follows it.
- Articles in the blog are signed by the author, a clinic specialist. If another doctor also reviewed the article, the reviewer and review date are shown under it; if not, only the publication and update dates.
- Positions and experience of the whole team are on the Doctors page.
How the review works
A text is published only after it has gone through every step. The medical reviewer checks the text for accuracy. This is not an endorsement of a method or a doctor’s recommendation.
- Facts about the clinic (prices, services, team, conditions) come only from the clinic. Anything the clinic hasn’t confirmed doesn’t appear on the site.
- We check medical statements against sources and list them in the “Sources” block under the text.
- The author reads the finished text and is responsible for its content.
- The medical reviewer checks indications, contraindications, warning signs and wording. If the reviewer disagrees, the text is rewritten.
- Before publication, the text is checked against the legal requirements for advertising medical services.
What we rely on
We publish a medical figure or statement only when we can cite a specific document. No source, no figure.
- Standards of medical care and unified clinical protocols of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. For example, MOH Order No. 1897 of 16.12.2025 on care for alcohol use disorders.
- State standards for social services, including social and psychological rehabilitation of people with addiction.
- World Health Organization documents, for example the mhGAP Intervention Guide 2.0.
- Systematic reviews and guidelines from professional associations when there is no Ukrainian document.
- We cite a specific document with its number and date, not an agency’s home page.
How we mark dates
Each service page shows three dates. They help you see how current the text is.
- Published: when the text first appeared on the site.
- Updated: when the content changed: prices, facts, medical information, steps to take. Fixing typos does not change the date.
- Medically reviewed: when the medical reviewer read and approved the current version.
- Price tables show a separate date as of which the prices are valid.
How often we update
We review medical texts at least once a year and whenever the MOH standards or WHO recommendations we cite change.
- We revise prices as soon as the clinic changes them and update the validity date.
- If we no longer offer a service, we remove it from the site rather than leave an outdated description.
How we correct errors
If you find an inaccuracy, let us know. We check every report.
- Call the hotline at (067) 151-53-03 and tell us the page and what’s wrong with it.
- A medical comment is passed to the author and the reviewer. If the error is confirmed, we correct the text and change the “Updated” date.
- If the error could have affected a reader’s decision, for example in a price or in warning signs, we add a correction note to the text.
Advertising and the law
Service pages contain information about the clinic’s medical services, and Article 21 of the Law of Ukraine “On Advertising” applies to them. That is why there are things you won’t see on this site.
- We don’t name medications or publish treatment regimens. Advertising prescription drugs is prohibited, and the regimen is prescribed by a doctor.
- We don’t promise results and don’t write “guaranteed,” “forever,” “the best” or “no side effects.”
- We don’t publish reviews or stories describing treatment results.
- We don’t present a doctor’s opinion as a recommendation of a method. The reviewer checks the text for accuracy and does not recommend the service.
- We describe a treatment method only after the clinic has confirmed that it offers it.
- Every service page carries the warning: “Self-medication may be harmful to your health.”
- Prices are listed as “from,” with a validity date and a note that they are not a public offer.
Conflict of interest
The site belongs to the FAVOR clinic and describes its services. The authors and reviewers are clinic specialists. We don’t hide this; here is how we balance it.
- We say plainly when the clinic’s care is not the right fit and an ambulance is needed: if there is a threat to life, we advise calling 103.
- We explain when care at home is enough and when inpatient care is needed, and remind readers that the final decision is made by a doctor after an examination.
- We compare against state standards, not against competitors.
How we use artificial intelligence
We prepare some texts with the help of artificial intelligence tools: they help put together a draft, a structure and a list of the questions people ask. A text is always published by a person, who is responsible for every word.
- AI does not make up facts about the clinic: those come only from the clinic.
- A person checks every medical statement against a source, and a doctor reviews it before publication.
- AI does not diagnose, choose a method or answer readers in place of a doctor.
- Some images on the site are illustrations created with generative tools. They are not photographs of the clinic, its wards or its staff. The team photos are real.
Patient privacy in our texts
We don’t tell the stories of real patients on the site or publish their photos.
- The examples in our texts are generalized situations that families often come to us with, not the stories of specific people.
